Terms of service

Who we are

"FireConvertApp," "we," "us," and "our" refer to the operator of fireconvertapp.com. "You" means anyone who uses the site. These terms form a binding agreement between you and us. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

What you get

FireConvertApp is a web application that converts files from one format to another — images, documents, audio, video, and so on. Most tools are free and need no sign-up. Some features ("Pro") require a paid subscription.

Your content

Files you upload are your content. You keep every right you had before uploading.

You grant us a narrow, non-exclusive, worldwide license to do exactly one thing: process your file in order to produce the output you requested, and return it to you. That license ends when the file is deleted (within 60 minutes). We do not use your files to train models. We do not share them. We do not publish them.

You promise that you have the right to upload and convert whatever you upload — that it isn't someone else's copyrighted material you're not allowed to touch, and that it isn't unlawful.

Acceptable use

Don't use FireConvertApp to:

• Infringe someone else's copyright, trademark, or other rights.
• Process content that depicts child sexual abuse, incites violence, or is otherwise illegal where you are or where we operate.
• Upload malware, viruses, or anything intended to break our infrastructure or other users' devices.
• Probe, scrape, or load-test the service in a way that disrupts it for others.
• Resell the service, or use it to build a competing converter, without written permission.

We can suspend or remove access, and delete content, for any violation of these rules — with or without notice if the violation is serious enough to warrant it.

Free and Pro

The free tier is anonymous and limited by file size, batch size, and conversion speed (today: 4 MB per file; this lifts to 100 MB once our large-file pipeline ships). Pro lifts those limits. Current caps are on the pricing page and are the source of truth if they ever drift from this document.

Billing (Pro)

Pro is a recurring subscription processed by Stripe. You authorize us to charge your payment method on the interval you chose (monthly or annual) until you cancel. Prices are in US dollars unless stated otherwise and exclude taxes where applicable.

You can cancel at any time from your account page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — we don't prorate, but we also don't charge you again after you cancel. Refunds are handled case-by-case; email us if something went wrong and we'll make it right.

Availability

We aim for high uptime but do not promise it. Maintenance, outages at our hosting provider, and the occasional bad deploy will happen. We don't credit or refund for short outages on the free tier. For Pro, if a prolonged outage prevents meaningful use during a billing period, email us.

Our intellectual property

The FireConvertApp brand, logo, copy, and code are ours (or our licensors'). Using the service doesn't give you any right to those — no scraping the site to train a model, no republishing our content as your own.

Warranty disclaimer

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. We don't warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the output of a conversion will meet your requirements for any particular purpose. Always keep a copy of the original.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FireConvertApp and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of your use of the service. Our total liability to you for any claim related to the service is capped at the greater of (a) USD $50 or (b) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Indemnity

If someone sues us because of content you uploaded or your violation of these terms, you agree to cover our reasonable costs (legal fees, damages, settlements) to the extent the claim flows from your actions.

Termination

You can stop using the service any time — that's termination on your side. We can suspend or terminate your access if you break these terms. Sections about your content, IP, warranty, liability, indemnity, and governing law survive termination.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state in which the operator is domiciled, without regard to conflict of law principles. Before filing any formal dispute, please email us at radiant.canvaz@gmail.com — most issues are faster to solve directly than in court.

Changes to these terms

If we update these terms, we'll bump the "Last updated" date. For material changes we'll post a notice on the site and, for Pro users, email you at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date means you accept the new terms.
